Program Description:

*Pre-K: The Pre-K program is for boys and girls who live in Pelham and attend Pre-Kindergarten/4's school programs (children who plan to go to Kindergarten the following year). It will be a one-hour, clinic-based program that consists of skill-building activities, with informal scrimmages added as the season progresses.  Kids will be assigned to teams. This is the pilot year for the Pre-K program. We will run it for 5 weeks, starting on September 20th and ending on November 1st. Let's see how this goes!

Kindergarten: Similar to the Pre-K program, Kindergarten will be a one-hour, clinic-based program that consists of skill-building activities with informal scrimmages added as the season progresses.  Kids will be assigned to teams. This program runs the full 8 weeks.

All other programs: Fall soccer is a practice, immediately followed by a game. We're still working on the length of each practice/game - all will be somewhere between 1 1/2 hours - 2 1/2 hours long.

Eligibility:

Pelham Rec Soccer programs are open to all children in grades Pre-K to 7th who live or attend school in Pelham (Pre-K must live in Pelham).

Volunteers:

We need coaches! All Pelham Rec Soccer programs are run entirely by parent volunteers.  Sign up to be a COACH or ASSISTANT COACH via the online registration system.

** This program is FULL. Registration is closed.

HELP WANTED - REFEREES

WE NEED REFEREES!  If your child is 12 or older, we would love for them to join our ranks!

All interested kids need to take the USSF Grade Level 9 referee training course on Tuesday, September 2nd, given by esoccer.  It is an all day course, and the cost is $140 (location TBD - probably Christ Church). Please click on this link for more information or to register: www.sportssignup.com/wsroref.start. If you cannot make the Sept. 2nd course, there are alternative dates at other locations. We will also have a beginning of the season referee training course run by Pam Loeffel on Wednesday, September 10th at 8 pm. Referees will get training on the specifics to our Rec soccer league and pick up equipment.

PLEASE NOTE THAT CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 14 CANNOT BE PAID, BUT WE CAN GIVE THEM COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS

KIDS 14 AND ABOVE WILL BE PLACED INTO THE PELHAM RECREATION DEPARTMENT PAYROLL AND WILL EARN $35 A GAME, OR THEY CAN GET COMMUNITY SERVICE IF THEY PREFER.
